Midnight Piper Forman is a multi-hyphenate editor and visual artist with an extensive background in film production and cultural activism. She was born and raised by funk musicians near the banks of the L.A. River.
She was awarded the First Look Award for Outstanding Producing for her work on Kerry Yang's subversive science-fiction film, ‘Genghis Khan Conquers the Moon. ’‘Genghis Khan’ screened internationally at festivals such as Cannes and Camera Image; winning multiple audience awards, support from the Knight Foundation, a Fox Fellowship for unique visual effects, and inclusion in CAA's inaugural Moebius Roster.
She has a Bachelors in Interdisciplinary Art from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, a city where she spent half a decade producing boundary-pushing, collective public art works; followed by two years teaching critical urbanism in Barcelona and lecturing widely on her work in the arts-activism field. She returned to L.A. to complete her Masters in Film and Television Production at USC's School of Cinematic Arts, where she focused on post-production and hybrid storytelling.
